THE CAMP TOOK PLACE IN OCTOBER 2021 AND WAS HUGELY SUCCESSFUL. WATCH THIS SPACE FOR FUTURE DATES!
Introduction
We are excited to be putting on a trail running & Pilates weekend in The Lake District from 8th – 11th October 2021. The weekend will be hosted by myself and my sister, Fiona. If you’ve made it this far you probably know a bit about me; I have nearly 8 years of experience in the world of competitive ultra-trail running and over the years I have found that the most rewarding experiences have not been race results, but sharing passion and knowledge and inspiring others to get on the trails for races or adventures. Fiona will be our Pilates teacher and sports massage therapist for the weekend. With training in sport and exercise science, Pilates, personal training and sport massage she has a holistic understanding of how to condition the body to run efficiently, avoid injury and recover quickly. She will lead some running-specific Pilates and mobility sessions, addressing some of the muscle imbalances often found in runners. Although we want to provide an educational experience, the weekend is equally about having fun and creating memories. Our base will be The Beech Tree, a large house perfectly situated in the beautiful village of Coniston.

Intended guests
The weekend will be best experienced by runners with a good level of fitness and at least some experience of running off road. As a very rough guide you should be able to run continuously for 10-15 miles on the flat - we will walk the steep climbs. You don’t have to be a highly competitive trail runner to come. You should be comfortable being on your feet in the hills for several hours, covering a variety of terrain, gradients and putting up with the British weather. Bear in mind that you don’t have to join us for every single run! If in doubt about your fitness level please ask us.
